[homeschoolhub] Soccer Holiday? Mon. 12/26, 3-5 p.m.

We're in a holiday mood, but what does that mean about soccer? Do we take a holiday from soccer, or do we integrate soccer into the holiday?

If we cancel the game, we will have more time for storytelling, reminiscing, eating and drinking. If we play, we will have more stories to tell and memories to share and fewer ill effects from the eating and drinking. For my family, the choice is easy . . . We will be there!

Everyone is welcome regardless of age, or level of skill or fitness.

Mon. 12/26, 3 - 5 p.m. at Howard Park at the corner of
Jefferson Blvd. and St. Louis Blvd in South Bend.

Dress in layers!

The sound of the laughter, a feeling of bliss;
A view of the children -- a day that can't miss.

Sorry I was so brief!

My name is Valerie Mulverhill. My husbands name is Tim. Gabe is 11, Connor is 4 and Ender is 2. We are originally from upstate NY and spent the last 2.5 years in Tennessee. We moved to Granger last month and hope to settle in this area. I use Oak Meadow curriculum as well assisting my kids in a child led learning environment.

I would like to be involved in the classes offered and hopefully make some homeschooling friends for myself and my kids.

Thanks!
Valerie

[homeschoolhub] Great Soccer Day! Mon. 12/5, 3-5 p.m.

We've been having some excellent, fiercely competitive soccer in the crisp autumnal air.
Sometimes the parents and even some of the players retreat to their cars to get warm during the breaks, but the players on the field have a blast.

I've seen some terrific running and passing recently - some of it done by an enthusiastic eight-year-old. (You know who you are!)

I never remember who "won," but I always enjoy the competition. I love to see several quick passes near the goal followed by a blocked shot. I'm thrilled when two players race for the ball, or when one chases the other down the field.

How many more days do we have before the weather stops all the excitement "cold"? At least one!

Everyone is welcome regardless of age, or level of skill or fitness.

Mon. 12/5, 3 - 5 p.m. at Howard Park at the corner of
Jefferson Blvd. and St. Louis Blvd in South Bend.
