Wow! Last week's game may have been the best attended ever! Lots of players - lots of fun!
If we have fewer this week, can we nonetheless enjoy ourselves more? Let's find out!
Everyone is welcome regardless of age, or level of skill or fitness.
Mon. 5/28, 3-5 p.m. at Howard Park at the corner of Jefferson Blvd. and St. Louis Blvd in South Bend.

Dear Renaissance Kids, parents, family and friends,
This is shaping up to be a very interesting summer of design, drawing and building activities. This note is to inform you that there are openings still available in each of the 6 sessions for 2012 summer's architecture camp. If you are planning to sign up, please call or email soon regarding your intentions and mail applications to secure a spot.
Please also take a moment to like the program on Facebook Facebook_Renaissance Kids: Brick by Brick and share the attached flier with friends.
Sincere thanks,
Mark

V, F, H and I (that's me!) are back from the East Coast and ready to show off what we've learned from all those fast-talkin' cynical New Yorkers (my family). We expect to be walkin' on sunshine!
Everyone is welcome regardless of age, or level of skill or fitness.
Mon. 5/14, 3-5 p.m. at Howard Park at the corner of Jefferson Blvd. and St. Louis Blvd in South Bend.

Well . . . the rain is pouring down, I'm very late in posting this announcement, and Herbie, Floyd and Veronica (and I) are in a motel in Eastern Pennsylvania. Can we still play soccer this afternoon?
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jennifer and Blake (a.k.a. the Deutchen Angels, the Teutonic Terrors, the Kraut Witches, the mild yet wild) will on hand to keep order and provide guidance. Be kind to them. They are (paradoxically) shy.
If everyone else stays indoors because of a light rain, J & B will be out honing their skills all by themselves.
Everyone is welcome regardless of age, or level of skill or fitness.
Mon. 5/7, 3-5 p.m. at Howard Park at the corner of Jefferson Blvd. and St. Louis Blvd in South Bend.

The Homeschool Hub is currently in need of an upgraded cell phone for Boost Mobile. This is our groups phone and we get calls from parents with questions about homeschooling. Very needful. However, our current phone is very outdated. We are told that we may not get calls because of the system on the old phone.
If you happen to have an old Boost Mobile phone with CDMI (updated coverage), we would appreciate the donation. It will go to a good cause. We would be willing to trade this old dinosaur!
Thank you

We have lots of new things going on at the Niles District Library! Please "like" us @ http://www.facebook.com/nileslibrary to stay in the event loop!
This post will go out each month as a reminder. Just delete it once you have it memorized. :-)
First, you can access the website at hshub.org. It is FULL of info on local groups, homeschooling, contests, scholarships, how to make your own free/nearly free individualized curriculum, fun youtube videos, etc. If you haven't been there in a while, check it out!
Second, if you haven't signed up for the weekly email newsletter, YOU ARE MISSING OUT! It is full of events, field trips, activities, scholarships, volunteer opportunities, etc. for families. To sign up, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HUBnewsletter/ OR send an email to the following address: HUBnewsletter-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
Third, the Homeschool HUB is a volunteer organization. We need local homeschool support to continue to function. Please consider helping out. You can serve on the board, teach a class, organize a play group, organize a field trip, teach a one-night workshop (on anything--cooking pizza, using Prezi or MS Word, painting, martial arts, dog breeds, Chinese culture...), throw a party, host a Shakespeare club, give a talk, or anything else you can think of. If you're interested, chances are another homeschooler will be, too.
Thank you!
