[homeschoolhub] Greatest Soccer Day? Mon. 9/24, 3-5 p.m.

 

What is the perfect soccer day? Is it the sunniest day when the colors are brightest and we can feel the life-giving rays of the sun? Is it an overcast day when we need not squint but are surrounded by soft white light? Is it the warm day when our muscles are most relaxed and our skin produces ample natural lubricant?

Some of you may vote for this Monday: a day of perfect clarity and just a touch of crisp Fall coolness in the air. Let's bring sweaters and then work hard enough to take them off and pile them near the water bottles!

Everyone is welcome regardless of age, or level of skill or fitness. Everyone will be valued for their contribution. No exceptions.

[homeschoolhub] Soccer Monday, 9/17, 3-5 p.m.

 

Monday - the second day of the week - the first day of the work week. Monday - much maligned day in which rising early is most difficult. Monday - when the weekend is most distant.
Monday - green grass! the open field! the joy of running! the thrill of competition! the smiles of the children! Take that Monday!!!!!

[homeschoolhub] Soccer in the Weather, Mon., 9/10, 3-5 p.m.

 

I just checked the local weather here in beautiful downtown South Bend. According to the Weather Underground, the temperature is 71 degrees Farenheit, but with the humidity and wind chill it feels like 71 degrees Farenheit.

Tomorrow the expected temperature is 72 degrees Farenheit. What will that feel like? There is no way to know in advance; we just gotta be there!

[homeschoolhub] Soccer for (or against) Labor, Mon. 9/3, 3-5 p.m. Bring Dad!

 

If you are a big fan of the American Labor movement, you want to celebrate the movement that gave us the weekend, the minimum wage and fringe benefits. Come and join us for a fabulous recreational time in the park - take a day off from labor to celebrate Labor!

If see the Labor Movement as a bunch of racketeers who undermine out competitive position in the world market and protect laziness and shoddy work, then ignore Labor Day by coming to the Park for the same soccer game we have every Monday. Refuse to celebrate! Make Monday, September 3, just another day of healthy family fun!

Everyone is welcome regardless of age, gender or previous condition of fitness. Everyone will be treated well, appreciated and valued.
