Beginning Sewing
In our Sewing 101 class at 11:30am, you will learn the basics of operating your sewing machine as well as how to sew forwards, backwards and on the curve. You will understand the correct usage for each knob, button and dial, as well as how to thread your machine and get your bobbin ready. You also find out what supplies you need to get your new hobby started. We will be completing a fall project for your table. Call or stop by the Niles District Library Information Desk to register for this free class before October 31.
PLUS at 10:00am, we will have "triage" for sewing machines available to help you get your sewing machine ready with tension setting, oiling, and a quick clean. This is also a preregistration event and limited to 10 sewing machines. The Information Desk will also have these signup sheets.
For information on these or any other programs, please go to www.nileslibrary.com or call the NDL information desk at (269)683-8545 ext.111. Every program hosted by Niles District Library is free to the public.
