If you are in MI, check out the partnerships.  They are a great way to connect with other homeschoolers and take classes with homeschoolers.  There are also a few co-ops, and there are several facebook groups that arrange field trips and get-togethers sometimes.  If youhaven't subscribed to the HUB's email newsletter, that is also a place to find out about events and things.
