Northpoint Sports is pleased to announce that we have opened registration for the Homeschool Hockey Winter Session. Details are below.
Northpoint Hockey (aka Homeschool Hockey) is set to begin Monday, February 13th and will run every Monday through May 14th. This will be a 12-week session, with 2 weeks off (March 26th and April 2nd) for Spring Break. The registration cost for this session will be $300. We will conduct practices/scrimmages for one hour of ice time on Mondays from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the Fishers Forum located on 126th Street behind the YMCA. Registered players should plan to arrive at 12:30 in order to be ready to hit the ice at 1:00!
We had a successful summer kick-off session and we feel we had an even better Fall Session with players getting increasingly better at the fundamental skills, including skating faster and with more confidence. The basic information about the program remains the same:
1. All homeschoolers are invited and encourage to participate. This program is not exclusive to Northpoint students.
2. All ages boys and girls (K-12) are invited and welcome.
3. No hockey experience or skating experience required.
4. Required equipment includes helmet, gloves, skates and stick. Those who want to wear full gear may do so. Used equipment may be purchased at Play-it-Again Sports, which has locations in Carmel and Fishers. Equipment typically costs between $60-$80.
5. A chapel program after practice will be included for any players that are interested.
6. A snack will be provided after each practice.
7. We intend to foster and require a positive environment. A hostile or disrespectful environment will not be allowed or tolerated on this team.
In order to reserve the ice, we need to ensure we have all registrations and payments in prior to our first day of practice. Therefore, we are asking that all registrations and payments be submitted by Friday, February 10th, 2012.
