Niles District Library Programming


Niles, Michigan-February 18, 2012- The Niles District Library is
proudly hosting a series of events to celebrate Black History Month
2012. The next presentation will be on Feb 18 at 1pm in the Glass
Rotunda.

Storyteller Miz Rosie presents: "The Life and Times of Harriet Tubman
and the Underground Railroad." With the help of the audience, Chapman
will act as the 92-year-old Tubman, chronicling her amazing journey
from slavery as a child, her involvement in the Civil War, as a
conductor of the Underground Railroad and the years she lived as a
free woman working for equal rights.
